Very fine and warm all day. Many ‘planes about. This evening went down to Elm, and called at
the Coulsons’. Bought two tickets for a
concert tomorrow night. Coming back
after a shower of rain, saw there was a big night exercise going on – at least
50 searchlights, and many aircraft flying about in every direction. Could hear men’s voices from far away over
the fields, and the noise of the ‘planes above.
