Hi Catherine, I have just finished reading your book of E.J Rudsdale's diaries and I absolutely loved them, thanks for putting together such an interesting read from his diaries. I was a bit disappointed to have finished the book so discovering this blog is really great for me, I'm enjoying reading through the little extra bits which were not featured in the book.
I look forward to any of your future releases.
Melissa.

Hi Melissa,
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed the book and so pleased to learn that the blog is providing further interest for you. It has been a fascinating project to work on and the next plan is to publish Rudsdale's journals from the 1920s and 1930s. I will keep readers up to date on the progress of this.
Thanks again and best wishes,
Catherine

Hi Catherine, that is really exciting news about the publication of his earlier diaries, I will keep updated on the progress of it and look forward to the release of them.

I think Mr Rudsdale was a very intriguing character, I found his comments and observations in his diary most fascinating. I bet you have thoroughly enjoyed being able to work on this project. He also mentions a few places that I used to live too so that is an extra layer of interest for me.

Keep up the good work!
Best wishes,
Melissa.

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for your kind message and I'm so glad that you have had these extra interest through the places you were familiar with. One of the joys of the project has been discovering these places and seeing them through Eric Rudsdale's descriptions and how they appear today. I feel incredibly privileged to have worked on this project, particularly as I only came across the journals by chance, and it constantly brings me so much joy and so many interesting discoveries.
Keep enjoying the blog and the book!
Best wishes,
Catherine
