Saturday
Cold and cloudy. Town very full as usual, and quite a lot of
people in the Museum. Walked over to the
Market. Several ponies and horses, and a
very smart turnout-tubcart, pony and new set of brown harness. Called in at a shop and met little Miss Ellis
the teacher. Asked her to tea on Monday.
This evening in office until 8,
getting ready for the meeting on Monday, then to cinema to see Bette Davis in
“Old Acquaintance”, very well done indeed.
Much enjoyed it. Dark and cold
tonight, with much cloud.
