This blog posts extracts from E J Rudsdale's diaries of life on the home front in Britain during the Second World War.
Each extract was posted exactly 70 years after it was first written, marking the 70th anniversary of the Second World War between 2009-2015.
Today E.J. Rudsdale's Second World War Blog has reached a milestone of 50,000 hits since the blog began in September 2009. Thank you to everyone for reading and following the blog. Best wishes, Catherine Pearson

The 'thanks' should be to your for all the work you have put in to make the diaries available.
Having seen some of the originals I know this is a time consuming task (but very enjoyable I would imagine!)
Thank you Anne for your kind comments, and yes, I agree, it is an addictive diary! If there isn't a posting on the blog it is often because the diary entry appears in E.J. Rudsdale's book and, therefore, it is not re-published on the blog. So glad to hear you are continuing to follow and enjoy the blog. Best wishes, CP

This blog is such an enjoyable insight into another person's life that you will probably be aware that is addictive.
I am always sorry if there isn't a posting from the diary but will follow daily and continue enjoying it so a big THANK YOU for your hard work.
