George Farmer tells me he is closing his business this week, owing to lack of trade.
Hull [the Curator] has not been seen since Monday, and only today we found he was sick.

Is this the business which is now Saxons estate agents?
Yes, thanks for mentioning this, Jane - I believe it is the same place as Saxons estate agents. The Farmer family ran a cutlery/ironmongery business in a small shop near to the entrance of Colchester Castle at the corner of Museum Street and High Street. George Farmer's name was still painted on the side of this building until about ten years ago I think. CP
